Our VisionSeaward Bound is the area's foremost youth-serving support program for character development and values-based leadership training, which provides maritime education and encourages safe boating practices.

Our MethodSeaward Bound provides support to Sea Scout Ship 1610, at Ft. Monroe in Hampton, Virginia through the exclusive use of the sailing vessel AVENTURA. This support includes providing slip rent, maintenance, insurance, and equipment. As the Ship's membership grows, Seaward Bound will procure and provide additional vessels as needed to provide ample opportunities for underway training and recreation.
