0800 Meet at QUO VADIS at the Old Point Comfort Marina
0815 Underway on QUO VADIS sailing to R “2” about 1 mile east of Buckroe Beach.
0955 First Warning
1000 Race Start
Approx 1200 Return to Old Point Comfort Yacht Club
 

Notes:

• Crew members needed: Helm, Foredeck, Mast, Mainsheet, Port Jib, Stbd Jib
• Max crew is 7, including Skipper.
• Wraps and snacks provided.

Normal Scout meeting time, 1-5pm, at Old Point Comfort Yacht Club.

Rehearse skills from last week.
Learn and practice various capsize recoveries.

COME PREPARED

1. Come prepared to get wet.
2. Bring your water shoes.
3. Suggest bringing you knee pads.
4. Bring your water bottle, with method to tie it to the boat.
5. Suggest bringing a towel and change of clothes so you don't have to stay wet when driving home.

Sailing practice in preparation for the Yacht Race.
Meeting 1-5pm at the marina, please be on time.  

BE PREPARED
Dress for the weather
Bring your water bottle. 
Suggest a carabiner to allow you to hand the bottle from a life line.
Deck shoes, either non marking or white sole are preferred.
Gloves to protect your hands from rope burns due to running rigging.
If you tend to get sea sick, take your medicine an hour before arriving.

WE WILL PRACTICE
Tacking, gybing, reefing, anchoring.

Some of you are fully paid.  Thank you Brian, Shan, Norm, DJ, and Greycen.  
Remember, the cost of the trip is $200 per person.  
Payments should be per the schedule provided in the original boarding plan:

BSA Health forms, less than a year old, with a doctor's signature are required for the trip.  We have the proper health forms from Norm, Shan, and Greycen.
